Today's blog post is the second instalment of our Mindful Monday series. I amnestying sharing my top three tips (and a bonus tip!) about how I get organised for the work week. This blog post only takes your working hours into consideration and doesn't touch on the Sunday night fear (now I write that I think that will be an additional post) but I hope this inspires you this week!
1. Take ten minutes of a Monday to plan your week
First thin on a Monday I like to sit at my desk with a coffee (a Monday necessity) and plan my week. I'm not talking hour by hour but I add tasks to each day so I don't et overwhelmed on Monday afternoon trying to finish a weeks worth or work in one day.
This also helps with productivity. Each day i know what I have to achieve and don't spend the first half an hour trying to remember what I need to do.
2. Write things down
This seems simple enough, but write everything down. This way you won't procrastinate doin task you've recently thought of when you should be completing the days tasks
3. Write next weeks notes on a Friday
I love doing this! Each Friday afternoon I write a list of things that I either didn't complete that week or that I know are on my agenda for the next week. This stops the dreaded Sunday feeling (unless you have a bad week ahead - I can't do anything about that sorry!) and also shows what you have or haven't achieved that week.
Try and close of projects by the end of the week, or mini projects inside a later one. It might seem preferable to leave thins for Monday but believe me, by Monday you'll be glad of it!
I hope this has helped you get organised and is a little pick me up for you this Monday! Make sure to check back next week for another Mindful Monday post!
